Statistical Hypothesis Testing for Asymmetric Tolerance Index

چکیده
Many of the nominal-the-best quality characteristics important machine tool components, such as inner or outer diameters, have asymmetric tolerances. An tolerance index is a function for average process and standard deviation. Unfortunately, it difficult to obtain 100(1−α)% confidence interval index. Therefore, this study adopts Boole’s inequality DeMorgan’s theorem find combined region well Next, using target feasible region, applies mathematical programming employs statistical hypothesis testing. Lastly, demonstrates applicability proposed approach with an illustrative example.

HYPOTHESIS TESTING FOR AN EXCHANGEABLE NORMAL DISTRIBUTION
Consider an exchangeable normal vector with parameters ????2, and ?. On the basis of a vector observation some tests about these parameters are found and their properties are discussed. A simulation study for these tests and a few nonparametric tests are presented. Some advantages and disadvantages of these tests are discussed and a few applications are given.
متن کاملWithin-Document Term-Based Index Pruning with Statistical Hypothesis Testing
Document-centric static index pruning methods provide smaller indexes and faster query times by dropping some within-document term information from inverted lists. We present a method of pruning inverted lists derived from the formulation of unigram language models for retrieval. Our method is based on the statistical significance of term frequency ratios: using the two-sample two-proportion (2...

The word " five " is missing from the third sentence of the fifth paragraph in the online answers to this Endgames article by Philip Sedgwick (BMJ 2014;349:g5310, doi:10.1136/bmj. g5310). The sentence should have read: " For example, the probability of a significant result when there are two, three, four, and five hypothesis tests is 0.
متن کاملAsymmetric quantum hypothesis testing with Gaussian states
We consider the asymmetric formulation of quantum hypothesis testing, where two quantum hypotheses have different associated costs. In this problem, the aim is to minimize the probability of false negatives and the optimal performance is provided by the quantum Hoeffding bound. After a brief review of these notions, we show how this bound can be simplified for pure states. We then provide a gen...
